About me

A little about me.

I studied biotechnology, then moved into computer science. Mixing the two lets me build tools that are useful to doctors.

I'm a PhD research scholar at IIT Roorkee. My work is about helping doctors make better decisions, faster, by using computers to study photos and scans.

Away from work, I'm a photographer and traveller. Looking closely at light and detail shapes the way I approach everything else.

Checking blood samples more reliably

Jan 2026 – Present

The problem
Checking blood samples under a microscope takes expert time, and a blurry picture can lead to mistakes.
What I'm building
A program that first checks whether the picture is good enough, then points out signs of possible blood problems and shows how it decided.
Why it matters
Doctors get a clear second opinion they can check for themselves.

3D models from body scans

Sep 2025 – Present

The problem
A scan is a set of flat images, which makes it hard to picture exactly where a tumour sits.
What I'm building
A method that turns those flat images into a 3D model of the breast and the tumour.
Why it matters
Surgeons can study the case in 3D and plan before the operation.

Understanding burn injuries from a photo

Dec 2023 – Present

The problem
In an emergency, it is hard to judge how serious a burn is. Mistakes here delay the right treatment.
What I built
A program that finds the burnt area in a photo, tells how serious it is, estimates how much of the body is affected, and suggests treatment steps.
Why it matters
It helps teams respond faster and with fewer errors, and doctors can see the reasoning behind each result.

Automated Burn Detection from Images Using Deep Learning Models: The Role of AI in the Triage of Burn Injuries

In plain words: we built a program that looks at a photo of a burn, outlines the injured skin, and helps decide how urgent the case is, so emergency teams can assess patients more reliably.
